Mormon Doctrine News: Lds Church Sued For Baptism For The Dead Injury
In my opinion, he was in a volunteer capacity. If he was in that kind of pain, no one was forcing him to stay in and perform the baptisms. He could have, of his own free will and choice, got out of the font at anytime. If you are honestly in pain or exhausted, show some personal responsibility and get yourself out of the situation. Take responsibility for your own choices or you end up suffering through the consequences of your actions. In this case, since the man CHOSE not to stop performing the baptisms, he is suffering the pain ensued by not listening and following through with when his body told him to stop. Don't blame the church. The leaders in the church have no idea what your body may be experiencing. No one knows your body better than you do. It is so much easier to blame someone or something for our own poor choices. I do feel bad that the man was hurt in this way and wish him a speedy recovery, but drop the law suit!
